(1900-1988)

LML School is one of the pioneer projects of Lions club of Karnavati Foundation. The foundation is affiliated to the Lions Club International, an organization with presence in over 189 countries and a name synonymous with service to society, sacrifice and voluntarism.

The Lions Club of Karnavati is one of the largest, most active and well-managed clubs in the world. The foundation aims to serve society by fulfilling two fundamental needs – Health and Education. In keeping with this quest, the foundation has set-up a school and an eye hospital.

Lalji Mehrotra Lions School is set-up adjacent to the Lions Karnavati Vishnubhai Patel Eye Hospital at Ognaj, about 10 Kms. from Thaltej Tekra, Ahmedabad. The school began operations in June 2002 with classes Jr. KG to 4, adding one class every year and is now running classes from Jr.KG to Twelve. The school is affiliated to the CISCE [Council for The Indian School Certificate Examinations], New Delhi.

Philosophy

LML School provides each student with an environment where learning is defined by the child’s inherent desire to learn, inspired by a philosophy of Love, Joy and Faith in the child as a learner, and guided by education research and knowledge development. The school promotes the development of each child intellectually, emotionally, physically and spiritually and is committed to helping them learn to know themselves and to enhance their choices later on in life.
